I'm tired. I've been feeling lethargic since we've gotten back from holiday. I have always dismissed the concept of 'exaughtion', atleast when bands cancel tours due to 'exaughstion' I always think that's a stupid reason to cancel a tour. I've been feeling less tired lately so that's good.
Here are a few points of (my) interest:
Here are a few points of (my) interest:
1) While eating my dinner a couple of days ago and watching the tv gem that is "Come Dine With Me" I saw an advertisment for the documentary "The Devil and Daniel Johnston", which will be on tonight on More4. It is a great, great documentary and I really recomment watching it if you haven't seen it already. I think it's on at 9 or 10. Make sure you catch it!!
2) I've been trying to get a refund for my Fistful of Fandango ticket now St Vincent cancelled her appearance. At first ticketweb were being helpful, then, they completely changed their tone and now whenever I ask them to tell me if I can get a refund, they get back to me saying they can't tell me because of the "data prevention act". It's really frustrating.
3) Yesterday I went to London as we were invited to the soft opening of Ripley's Believe It Or Not in Picadilly Circus, because my dad's steel company built the lift shafts. It was the stupidest place ever, don't go there. It probably costs a fortune for tickets, so I'm glad we went for free. It's just a museum full of complete junk. Like, they had a fence that didn't open and a plaque saying "believe it or not, this fence DOES open". It clearly didn't. There was only one thing I liked, and that was a bowl of water set at the temperature the water around the Titanic was when it sunk that you could put your hand in. Still, a bowl of cold water doesn't warrant whatever the ticket price would be. I think the official opening to the general public is tomorrow. The staff were friendly, but I would still give it one star out of ten. Avoid.
4) Nicole Atkins is going to be on Later With Jools Holland in September. Nicole Atkins is really cool, and also really friendly and down to earth.
5) Hallelujah, Jenny Lewis is coming to London. It's on the same day Tilly and the Wall are doing an instore gig 15 minutes away from my future residence, Finsbury. I hope I can make both of them. Hopefully Tilly starts early and Jenny starts late. Exciting.
6) Id Engager is so infectious. I love of Montreal. I get to see them the day before I see Jenny and Tilly.
